Aims and scope

ARIMA Journal (Revue Africaine de Recherche en Informatique et Mathématiques Appliquées) is a result of scientific cooperation between Africa and northen countries that has taken place since the earlies 1990's in the framework of CARI (the African Conference for the Research in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics). It is a channel for disseminating the results of this cooperation. The scientific area of the Journal includes all research topics in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. Particular encouragement is directed to results coming from collaboration between Africa and Northern countries or results that were entirely obtained in Africa.

Each year there is systematically: at least one volume for articles submitted by ordinary procedure and at least one special volume corresponding to the proceedings of a conference (alternatively the CARI Conference and the CEO Conference (Conference for the Research in Computer Science)). Moreover, some years there may be a second special issue dedicated to a specific scientific event.

It is a publication of the African Society in Digital Science, a scholarly society that brings together the community of African and diaspora researchers in computer science and applied mathematics as well as their partners in research organizations in the North (Inria, IRD, Cirad, Inrae, etc.).

Diamond Open Access

ARIMA Journal is an overlay publication hosted by Episcience plateform. It leans on HAL open archive. According to the overlay publication model accepted articles are stored on Hal which guarantees that they are freely available for readers. They are also available on Hal, prior to their acceptance, in the form of preprints. Authors are encouraged to follow the Principles of reproducible science by sharing all relevant information with the community for the purpose of verification, replication and subsequent use of their results. They are also urged to respect the principles of ethical publication (COPE: Committee on Publication Ethics).

ARIMA Journal follows the Diamond Open Access which guarantees that the articles are freely available to the public without cost to authors and readers.

Peer review

ARIMA Journal is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal, committed to publication of high quality and original scientific content in the broad area of applied mathematics and computer science. Articles accepted for publication must describe novel research results and are strictly selected on the basis of scientific merits as ascertained by an open peer-review process.
